Calling all armchair ad quarterbacks. It’s time for AAF-Nashville’s Annual Super Bowl Virtual Ad Breakdown where some of Nashville’s finest creative directors and strategists rate the winners and losers from the big game’s best moments (the commercial breaks).
For most people, the Super Bowl is all about the football game. For advertisers (certainly not most people), the Super Bowl is all about everything but the football game. It’s about the food. It’s about the party. And more than anything, it’s about the SUPER BOWL COMMERCIALS – the most expensive, most watched, and most criticized spots of the year. Whether you love them or you hate them, one thing’s for sure, you’re going to have an opinion on them.
Not every creative director will make an ad that grows up to play in the big game this year, but they’ll all take pleasure in analyzing the ads that do play. Join us in the huddle as local creative directors dissect which ads connected deep with their targets and which ads dropped the ball. All the appetizer plates that ran dry during your Super Bowl party will be replenished and ready for you to tackle head first at ours, so come with a game plan and leave crying (from laughter).
Ready, break.
